Ceremonial Opening of MMA was held on the 25th of March 2021 at MMA Training centre, Colombo 13. Chairman of McLarens Group (MHL) Mr. Rohan De Silva, The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) Chief Executive Officer Mr. Manjula De Silva, MHL Group Managing Director Ms. Shehara De Silva, MHL Group Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Mahesh Kurukulasuriya, MHL Group Chief Operating Officer Mr. Oshan Fernando, Joint Managing Director Interocean Services Limited Mr. Shanil Perera, and a number of other distinguished guests graced the occasion. The General Manager of MMA Capt. Dhakshina Perera, Head of Training Mr. Yasas Telwatta and members of the academic & non-academic staff were present at the ceremony.
MMA with a strong vision for its future, to rank among top maritime education facilities in the country, will strongly commit to pursue quality education in maritime field to impart knowledge to succeed. MMA’s innovative curriculum and unique teaching methods will not only empower students to be leaders but also to be self-disciplined, furthermore, to become global citizens with ethics and skills while grooming them according to true Sri Lankan hospitable values. Overall, MMA students will become self-conscious of their responsibilities, for safety, security of fellow individuals, mother nature and will be dedicated to achieving sustainability.
