The Passing Out Ceremony for the Pre-sea Training Deck Rating Course Batch 03 took place on February 6th, 2024, at the distinguished venue of BMICH. The event was held under the presence of Chief Guest- Mr. Rohan De Silva – Chairman of McLarens Group, alongside Ms. Shehara De Silva – Managing Director of McLarens Group, and a distinguished group of directors and esteemed guests.
Mr. Yasas Telwatta- Head of Training at MMA, provided an insightful overview of the training program, emphasizing its pivotal role in shaping the future of maritime professionals. A highlight of the event was a Talent Show, showcasing the impressive skills and talents of Batch 03 and Batch 04. The ceremony was concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Captain Dhakshina Perera – General Manager at MMA, who also recapped the history of the shipping and maritime industry of Sri Lanka.
